Transcultural Management and the BRICS. An interdisciplinary conference at the University of St. Gallen, October 2 & 3

From the Centro Latinoamerican-Suizo newsletter, August 10, 2015:

Just as the BRIC states and South Africa launched their New Development Bank, Gower/Ashgate published "Transcultural Management and the BRIC States. A Handbook".

To mark the occasion and continue our interdisciplinary discussion on business in the BRIC(S), we invite you to join us on October 2 and 3 at the University of St.Gallen. The conference "Transcultural Management and the BRICS" will give you an opportunity to share your views on the future of the BRICS region with the authors and keynote speakers. In attendance:

- Dr. Ian Taylor from the University of St. Andrews will analyze the relations between the BRICS and the African continent.

- Dr. Brendan McSweeney from the University of London will delve into the pitfalls of transcultural management approaches.

- Sérgio Carin, Head of Cooperation and Business Development at Swiss International Airlines, will share expertise on the Brazilian and Latin American market on a practitioners' roundtable.

- Dr. Christian Ersche will tackle Brazilian-Chinese relations.

A detailed conference schedule and complete speakers' list will be available in early September. In the meantime, check out the book. If you already know that you will be able to join us, please register your attendance with Andrea Güpfert, andrea.guepfert@unisg.ch. Participation is open to anyone and free of charge.

We hope to see you in October at the University of St.Gallen.
